This designing method includes the steps of: S1 for inputting a green tire model generated by modeling a green tire; S2 for inputting a tire vulcanization mold model having a tire molding surface; S5 for displacing the green tire model in the tire vulcanization mold model and expansion-deforming the green tire model to bring the green tire model into contact with the tire molding surface; S6 for modifying the tire molding surface on the basis of parameters with regard to the contact condition between the green tire model and the tire molding surface; and S7 for designing the tire vulcanization mold based on the modified tire molding surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
