COMPOSITIONS FOR PAINT

To provide a paint composition with improved properties.SOLUTION: A paint composition includes microfibrillated cellulose, a binder, a solvent, a primary pigment, and optional one or more extender pigments. The microfibrillated cellulose is present in an amount ranging from 0.1% to 10 mass% based on the total mass of the paint composition. Optionally, the paint composition comprises inorganic particulate materials that are simultaneously processed together as at least one of the primary pigment and the extender pigments. The inorganic particulate materials are simultaneously processed together with a fibrous substrate containing cellulose during the preparation of the microfibrillated cellulose.
