To provide a charging device which can adequately remove dust attached to a ground electrode.SOLUTION: A charging device 10 charges dust contained in dust-containing air by corona discharge while circulating the dust-containing air, and includes: a plurality of discharge electrodes 50 supported by a support body 40; a ground electrode 32 which is arranged with a clearance to generate corona discharge with each of the discharge electrodes 50; and an air jetting part 34 which sprays compressed air to the ground electrode 32 from a direction intersecting a circulation direction of the dust-containing air circulated through the clearance between the discharge electrodes 50 and the ground electrode 32, and sweeps off the dust attached to the ground electrode 32.
