Zusammenfassung: | To provide an image processing apparatus capable of preventing degradation of image quality, particularly in an edge part by improving the image quality on a piece of image data which is obtained by sensor scanning in which photo elements with different spectral characteristics are arranged in a specific pattern with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus has a filter processing part that is configured to average pixel values of at least the first direction type of photo elements on the image data (S203-S206) when performing processing on a piece of data which is generated by a reading unit that reads an original by scanning the original in the scanning direction by using at least one type of photo element out of multiple types of reading elements in which photo elements of multiple types with different spectral sensitivity characteristics are arranged periodically in the first direction (S201).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
