Zusammenfassung:	To provide a document transport device which makes a document more visible to improve visibility from a user.SOLUTION: A document transport device includes: a placement tray 130 on which a document is placed; a discharge tray 140 on which the document discharged from a document discharge port in a discharge direction is loaded; and a light source 160 which emits light to the discharge tray 140. The discharge tray 140 is provided below the placement tray 130. The discharge tray 140 is provided with a protruding part 141 protruding upward relative to a surrounding area.
