Zusammenfassung: | To provide an electro-optical device in which bubbles are hardly mixed when bonding an element substrate having a light emitting element and a color filter and a counter substrate using an adhesive and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: An electro-optical device 100 includes an element substrate 10 as a first substrate having an organic EL element 30 as a plurality of light emitting elements and a color filter 36 provided corresponding to the plurality of organic EL elements 30; and a counter substrate 40 as a translucent second substrate disposed opposite to the element substrate 10 through an adhesive 41.
