Zusammenfassung:To control a flow angle of exhaust discharged from a turbine.SOLUTION: A turbocharger of an internal combustion engine comprises a nozzle vane which variably changes a flow passage area of exhaust flowing to a turbine rotated by an exhaust flow. An electronic control unit of the internal combustion engine controls an opening of the nozzle vane so as to increase the flow passage area of the exhaust flowing to the turbine as a flow rate of the exhaust is increased from when the internal combustion engine is started up until when warming-up of a catalyst is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】タービンから流出する排気の流れの角度を制御する。【解決手段】内燃機関のターボチャージャは、排気の流れによって回転するタービンへの排気の流路面積を可変とするノズルベーンを備えている。内燃機関の電子制御ユニットは、内燃機関が始動してから触媒の暖機が完了するまでの間、排気の流量が多くなるほどタービンへの排気の流路面積が大きくなるように、ノズルベーンの開度を制御する。【選択図】図6
