To improve the handleability of a drawing part for drawing sealing means in a form which seals a developer stored in developer storage means with the sealing means and releases the sealing state of the developer by the sealing means at the time of use.SOLUTION: A development device includes: developer storage means 1 which stores a developer G before using a development device 12; developer accommodation means 2 which accommodates the developer G stored in the developer storage means 1; sealing means 5 which has a sealing tape part 5a for sealing a slit-like opening 1a opened in the developer storage means 1 in a drawable manner and a drawing tape part 5b continuous to the sealing tape part 5a; rubbing means 6 which is provided in a longitudinal direction end of the developer storage means 1 to move the sealing means 5 with frictional contact, and rubs developer powder adhering to the sealing means 5; and holding means 7 which is provided via a gap on the outer side in the longitudinal direction of the developer storage means 1 with respect to the rubbing means 6 and holds the sealing means 5 in a movable manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】現像剤格納手段に格納された現像剤を封止手段で封止し、使用時に封止手段による現像剤の封止状態を解除する態様において、封止手段を引き抜くための引出部の取り扱い性を改善することにある。【解決手段】現像装置１２使用前の現像剤Ｇを格納する現像剤格納手段１と、現像剤格納手段１に格納されていた現像剤Ｇを収容する現像剤収容手段２と、現像剤格納手段１に開設されたスリット状の開口１ａを引き抜き可能に封止する封止テープ部５ａ及び封止テープ部５ａに連なる引出テープ部５ｂを有する封止手段５と、現像剤格納手段１の長手方向端部に設けられて封止手段５を摩擦接触させながら移動させ、封止手段５に付着した現像剤粉を擦り切る擦り切り手段６と、擦り切り手段６よりも現像剤格納手段１の長手方向外側に間隙を介して設けられ、封止手段５を移動可能に保持する保持手段７と、を備える。【選択図】図１
