To prevent rod-like articles from being damaged or falling off uncontrollably in a channel hopper.SOLUTION: A channel hopper for rod-like articles has at least two channels 2 between a plurality of controlling areas 6 for holding the rod-like articles, allowing retractable supporting elements 20, 21 provided at the bottom of the channel 2 to turn the channel 2 into an open condition or a closed condition. The open condition allows the rod-like articles passing the channel 2 to exit, meanwhile the closed condition blocks the rod-like articles from exiting.
