DRIVE RECORDER AND STATE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

To appropriately determine a driving operation according to a driving characteristic of a driver.SOLUTION: A drive recorder 1 is installed in a vehicle, and comprises a status information transmitting unit, a characteristic information transmitting unit, and an updating unit. When it is determined that an acceleration applied to the vehicle is within a transmission determination range stored in a storage device 8, the status information transmitting unit transmits to a server 9 status information that is information for indicating a status at a time when the acceleration determined to be within the transmission determination range is detected. The characteristic information transmitting unit transmits to the server characteristic information that is information for representing a characteristic of driver's driving of the vehicle and that includes at least information on the acceleration applied to the vehicle.
