METHOD AND DEVICE OF ESTIMATING MOISTURE CONTENT

To provide a method and a device of estimating a moisture content in exhaust gas, having a high degree of freedom of a position for mounting a sensor, and capable of suitably detecting a gas concentration.SOLUTION: The method of estimating a moisture content includes the steps of obtaining a saturated water vapor content (V(TB)) at a determining position (PB) according to a determined gas temperature (TB), obtaining an excess air volume (N) in an air-fuel mixture supplied to a combustion device from a moisture content (V(TB)=(W)) and a determined gas concentration (O) at the determining position (PB) according to an equation of a chemical reaction occurring upon combusting the air-fuel mixture supplied to the combustion device, and estimating the moisture content (W) at a detection position (PA) or a mole number (αA) of water vaporized at the detection position (PA) from the excess air volume (N) obtained and a detected gas concentration (O).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】センサを設置する位置の自由度が高く、且つ、ガス濃度を適切に検出することができる排気ガスの水分含有量の推定方法、推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】水分含有量の推定方法は、判定ガス温度（ＴＢ）に基づいて判定位置（ＰＢ）における飽和水蒸気量（Ｖ（ＴＢ））を求め、燃焼装置に供給された混合気が燃焼する際の化学反応式に基づいて、判定位置（ＰＢ）における水分含有量（Ｖ（ＴＢ）＝（ＷＣＢ））と判定ガス濃度（Ｏ２ＣＢ）とから、燃焼装置に供給された混合気の過剰空気量（Ｎ）を求め、求めた過剰空気量（Ｎ）と検出ガス濃度（Ｏ２ＣＡ）とから、検出位置（ＰＡ）における水分含有量（ＷＣＢ）、あるいは、検出位置（ＰＡ）において気化している水のモル数（αＡ）を推定する。【選択図】図１
