BRAKE DUST COVER

To provide a brake dust cover 1 which make it difficult for muddy water to splash on a brake disc rotor 10 while reducing weight.SOLUTION: In a brake dust cover 1 which is formed of an annular plate having a brake caliper avoidance notch 2 in a circumferential prescribed angular region, a cover part 6 hanging out to one side in an axial direction and covering an external peripheral face of a brake disc rotor 10 is arranged at an external periphery of the circumferential prescribed angular region 4. An angular region other than the angular region 4 in which the cover part 6 is arranged includes a small-diameter region 5. Since an outside diameter of the small-diameter region 5 is formed into a small diameter smaller than an outside diameter of the angular region 4 in which the cover part 6 is arranged, the small-diameter region 5 is brought into a state where the cover part 6 is not arranged. A notch 7 extending inward in a radial direction rather than an external peripheral edge of the small-diameter region 5 is formed at a boundary between the small-diameter region 5 and the angular region 4 in which the cover part 6 is arranged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】軽量化を図りながらブレーキディスクロータ１０に泥水をかかりにくくさせるブレーキダストカバー１の提供。【解決手段】円周所定角度領域にブレーキキャリパ回避用の切り欠き２が設けられた環状板からなるブレーキダストカバー１であって、その円周所定角度領域４の外周には、軸方向一方に張り出してブレーキディスクロータ１０の外周面を覆うカバー部６が設けられている。カバー部６が設けられている角度領域４以外の角度領域は、小径領域５を含む。小径領域５の外径が、カバー部６が設けられている角度領域４の外径よりも小径に形成されることにより、小径領域５はカバー部６が設けられていない状態とされている。小径領域５とカバー部６が設けられている角度領域４との境には、小径領域５の外周縁よりも径方向内向きに延びる切り欠き７が設けられている。【選択図】図１
