VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE DEVICE

To provide a vehicle door handle device to be applied to a vehicle door, the door handle device being capable of being configured in a compact manner, making a door be easily opened in the case of pulling a handle lever toward an operator with respect to the door after being unlocked, and inhibiting the door from being released by a shock at the time of a side collision on a vehicle even without providing a counter weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle door handle device 1 includes a handle lever 2 provided so as to be movable between a closed position at which with respect to one end side 3c in a longer direction, the other end side 3d is laid and an open position at which the other end side 3d protrudes outward more than the one end side 3c to form a back space 200 into which a hand is inserted. The handle lever 2 is provided so that the one end side 3c rotates while moving outward in moving to the open position. The handle lever 2 is rotatable downward around the one end side 3c from a state at the open position.
