To provide an alarm that lights or extinguishes an all-night light, which is realized by utilizing a light emission unit when the alarm is not given, according to a pattern, which is as natural as a pattern effected when an inhabitant is at home, when the inhabitant is away from home.SOLUTION: In an at-home mode, in the nighttime when the illuminance of a room, in which a gas alarm is installed, detected by an illuminance detection circuit 51 is equal to or smaller than a certain illuminance, a controller 35 of an alarm allows an alarm stop button to emit light in the manner of an all-night light. When the illuminance of the room is equal to or larger than the certain illuminance, the alarm stop button that is lit in the manner of the all-night light is extinguished. The controller stores in an all-night light lighting information table of an external storage unit 41 a history of lighting or extinguishing the alarm stop button in the manner of the all-night light.
