Zusammenfassung:To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents the occurrence of ghost when forming a multiple color image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: at least two image forming units each including an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a conductive substrate, an undercoat layer that is provided on the conductive substrate, has a capacitance per unit area of 0.7×10F/cm, and includes metal oxide particles, and a photosensitive layer that is provided on the undercoat layer, charging means that charges a surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a charging system in which only a DC voltage is applied, electrostatic latent image forming means that forms an electrostatic latent image on the charged surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and developing means that develops the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor with a developer containing toner to form a toner image, the image forming units not having static eliminating means for eliminating static electricity on the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and arranged in parallel toward the direction of travel of a transfer target body; and transfer means that each transfer the toner image to a surface of the transfer target body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】多重色画像を形成したときのゴーストの発生が抑制される画像形成装置の提供。【解決手段】導電性基体、前記導電性基体上に設けられ、単位面積あたりの静電容量が0.7×10−9F/cm2以下であり、金属酸化物粒子を含む下引層、及び前記下引層上に設けられた感光層を有する電子写真感光体、前記電子写真感光体の表面を、直流電圧のみが印加される帯電方式により帯電させる帯電手段、帯電した前記電子写真感光体の表面に静電潜像を形成する静電潜像形成手段、並びに、トナーを含む現像剤により、前記電子写真感光体の表面に形成された静電潜像を現像してトナー像を形成する現像手段を備え、前記電子写真感光体の表面を除電する除電手段を有さず、被転写体の走行方向に向かって並列に配置されている少なくとも2つの画像形成ユニットと、前記トナー像を被転写体の表面に転写する転写手段と、を備える画像形成装置。【選択図】図1
