To provide a power tool which miniaturizes a housing by contriving a support structure of an inner cover and a ring gear.SOLUTION: A power tool includes: a deceleration mechanism which decelerates rotation of a motor; and a housing which stores the motor and the deceleration mechanism. The power tool uses a planetary gear deceleration mechanism having a ring gear 35 located outside a planetary gear as the deceleration mechanism. An inner cover 20 which supports a bearing of the deceleration mechanism is held by the housing between the motor and the deceleration mechanism. The inner cover 20 has a recess (a notch section 38) projecting in an axial direction. The ring gear has a projection (a projection section 25) corresponding to the recess. By engaging the recess with the projection, the ring gear 35 is held not to rotate in the circumferential direction with respect to the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】インナカバーとリングギヤの支持構造を工夫することでハウジングの小形化を図った電動工具を提供する。【解決手段】モータの回転を減速する減速機構と、モータと減速機構を収容するハウジングを有し、減速機構としてプラネタリーギヤの外側に位置するリングギヤ３５を有する遊星歯車減速機構を用いた電動工具であって、減速機構の軸受を支持するインナカバー２０を、モータと減速機構との間においてハウジングによって保持されるようにした。インナカバー２０は軸方向に突出する凹部（切欠き部３８）を有し、リングギヤは凹部に対応する凸部（突出部２５）を有し、これらを係合させることでハウジングに対してリングギヤ３５が周方向に回らないように保持される。【選択図】図４
