Zusammenfassung: | To provide a scallop and a beam end field joint which inhibit strain concentration from occurring at a bottom of the scallop and inhibit occurrence of a scallop bottom crack and a flange fracture without requiring any other structure for reinforcement.SOLUTION: A scallop 60 includes: a first opening end 60a; a second opening end 60b; and a first opening edge part 61 extending in a direction away from a web end from the first opening end 60a; a second opening edge part 62 extending in the aforementioned direction from the second opening end 60b; and a third opening edge part 63 connecting the first opening edge 61 and the second opening edge part 62. The first opening edge part 61 is formed in a circular arc shape intersecting a web 10 side weld toe part of a fillet part 30, and has a first circular arc part 71 having a tangent parallel to an inner surface of a lower flange 20 at one end on the first opening end 60a side. The third opening edge part 63 has a second circular arc part 72 formed in a circular arc shape connecting the first opening edge part 61 and the second opening edge part 62. A radius of curvature of the first circular arc part 71 is larger than the radius of curvature of the second circular arc part 72.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
