MASTER UNIT, AUTOMATIC FIRE ALARM SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM

To provide an automatic fire alarm system capable of constituting a system that is unlikely to cause problems.SOLUTION: A master unit 1 is connected to a slave device 2 via a pair of electric wires 31, 32. The master unit 1 includes a communication part 13 and a mode switching part 171. The communication part 13 has a first communication function and a second communication function. The first communication function is a function of detecting a short circuit between the pair of electric wires 31 and 32 and receiving a fire report notifying the occurrence of a fire. The second communication function is a function of receiving an address for identifying the slave unit 2 by communicating with the slave unit 2 via the pair of electric wires 31 and 32.
