To provide a display device with which it is possible to produce novel effects, etc., in pointer emission.SOLUTION: The display device includes a pointer which has a short hand and a long hand extending radially outward of the short hand and which rotates around a rotation axis. The display device comprises an inner circumferential light source 53 for radiating illumination light to illuminate the short hand, an axial light source 52 for radiating illumination light to illuminate the long hand, and a control part 50a for controlling the illumination of the inner circumferential light source 53 and axial light source 52.
