Zusammenfassung:To strongly support a glass holding member on a steering wheel base while suppressing a step gap between a support door glass and the steering wheel base to the minimum and reducing air resistance.SOLUTION: An automobile door structure includes a steering wheel base 19 protruding upward from a waist line 12a at an upper part rear end of a sashless door 12 and supports a door outside steering wheel 14 on the steering wheel base 19. Since a glass holding member 23 guiding movements up/down of the door glass 22 composes a closed cross section in cooperation with the steering wheel base 19, it is possible to position the glass holding member 23 outside in a vehicle width direction near the door outside steering wheel 14, to suppress a step gap between the door glass 22 held by the glass holding member 23 and the steering wheel base 19 to the minimum, and to reduce air resistance; it is also possible to strongly support the glass holding member 23 on the steering wheel base 19 and to smoothly move up/down the door glass 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】 ドアガラスとハンドルベースとの段差を最小限に抑えて空気抵抗を低減しながら、ハンドルベースでガラス保持部材を強固に支持する。【解決手段】 サッシュレスドア12の上部後端にウエストライン12aから上方に突出するハンドルベース19を設け、ハンドルベース19にドアアウトサイドハンドル14を支持する。ドアガラス22の昇降を案内するガラス保持部材23がハンドルベース19と協働して閉断面を構成するので、ガラス保持部材23をドアアウトサイドハンドル14に近い車幅方向外側に位置させ、ガラス保持部材23に保持されたドアガラス22とハンドルベース19との段差を最小限に抑えて空気抵抗を低減できるだけでなく、ハンドルベース19でガラス保持部材23を強固に支持してドアガラス22のスムーズな昇降を可能にすることができる。【選択図】 図3
