Zusammenfassung: | To provide a spark plug that can reduce heat loss and improve engine efficiency.SOLUTION: When a spark plug 100 is arranged in an internal combustion engine, a point at which the center axis HX of an injection hole 61 intersects with the upper surface 65A of a piston 65 located at the top dead center is defined as an intersection S. The injection hole 61 is configured such that a distance L between the intersection S and the center P of the upper surface 65A of the piston 65 satisfies the following relational expression (1) with the bore radius Rb of a cylinder. When the injection hole 61 is configured as described above, heat loss when heat is drawn to the piston 65 and the cylinder head is suppressed. Therefore, the spark plug 100 of this configuration can increase the engine efficiency. The relational expression (1) is 0.5Rb≤L≤Rb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】熱損失を低減させてエンジン効率を向上できるスパークプラグを提供する。【解決手段】スパークプラグ100を内燃機関に配置した際に、噴孔61の中心軸線HXと、上死点に位置するピストン65の上面65Aと、が交わる点を交点Sとする。交点Sと、ピストン65の上面65Aの中心Pとの距離Lが、シリンダのボア半径Rbと以下の関係式(1)を満たすように、噴孔61が構成されている。このように、噴孔61が構成されていると、ピストン65やシリンダーヘッドに熱が引かれることに起因する熱損失が抑制される。よって、本構成のスパークプラグ100は、エンジン効率を高めることができる。関係式(1) 0.5Rb≦L≦Rb【選択図】図3 |
