Zusammenfassung: | To provide an air electrode capable of maintaining an output of a metal-air battery at or above a desired value when provided in a metal-air battery and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The air electrode includes a porous water-repellent layer and a catalyst layer in contact with the water-repellent layer. Porosity on a surface of the water-repellent layer is not less than 30 area% and less than 45 area%. A contact angle of the water-repellent layer with water is 100 degrees or more and 120 degrees or less. The method of manufacturing the air electrode includes: a water-repellent layer forming step of forming the water-repellent layer by stretching a forming material of the water-repellent layer; and a pressing step of pressing the water-repellent layer and the catalyst layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】金属空気電池に備えられた場合に、金属空気電池の出力を所望値以上に維持できる空気極及び空気極の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】空気極は、多孔質な撥水層と、撥水層と接触する触媒層とを備える。撥水層の表面における開孔率は、30面積%以上45面積%未満である。前記撥水層の水との接触角は、100度以上120度以下である。空気極の製造方法は、撥水層形成材料を延伸して、前記撥水層を形成する撥水層形成工程と、撥水層と前記触媒層とを圧着する圧着工程とを含む。【選択図】図1 |
