To provide a remote control device capable of selecting an operation target device without pointing to the operation target device.SOLUTION: In a remote control system 1, a remote control device 2 includes a device main body having an angle sensor 20, a determination unit 22 that determines a tilt direction in which the device main body is tilted at an angle equal to or greater than a threshold on the basis of angle information of the device main body detected by the angle sensor 20, a selection unit 23 that selects a device at the position corresponding to the determined tilt direction in which the device main body is tilted at the angle equal to or greater than the threshold by the determination unit as an operation target device from among a plurality of devices in the positional relationship between the operator and the plurality of devices, and a transmitting unit 24 that transmits a remote control code to the operation target device selected by the selecting unit 23.
