Zusammenfassung:To provide a color filter substrate capable of suppressing decrease in the contrast of a liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal display device using the color filter substrate, a laminate to be used for a liquid crystal display device, and a method for manufacturing a color filter substrate.SOLUTION: A color filter substrate 10 includes: a color filter member 2 having a color layer of a plurality of colors on one surface of a transparent substrate layer 21; a first optical functional member 1A disposed on the color layer side of the color filter member and having a first retardation layer containing a liquid crystal material; and a second optical functional member 1B disposed on the transparent substrate layer side of the color filter member and having a second retardation layer containing a liquid crystal material.
