Zusammenfassung:To provide a fireproof material having low reactivity and excellent heat resistance.SOLUTION: A fireproof material for a low melting point nonferrous metal according to the present invention is formed containing 20-75 mass% of a silicon carbide material, 20-75 mass% of a silicon nitride material, and 3-22 mass% of a fused quartz material when the whole is 100 mass%, and has a porosity of 8-18% and a compressive strength of 50 MPa or more. The fireproof material for a low melting point nonferrous metal according to the present invention is a fireproof material having high heat resistance and damage resistance and also having high thermal shock resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】反応性が低く、かつ耐熱性に優れた耐火材を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の低融点非鉄金属用耐火材は、全体を100mass%としたときに、20〜75mass%の炭化ケイ素質材と、20〜75mass%の窒化ケイ素質材と、3〜22mass%の溶融石英質材と、を含有して形成され、気孔率が8〜18%、圧縮強度が50MPa以上であることを特徴とする。本発明の低融点非鉄金属用耐火材は、高い耐熱性及び耐損傷性を備えかつ耐熱衝撃性の高い耐火材となる。【選択図】なし
