RAILWAY VEHICLE

To provide a railway vehicle which can reinforce side beams contacting with ends of entrance column without narrowing passenger room space and degrading external appearance.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle comprises an underframe which has a pair of side beams arranged on both sides in the direction of sleepers and a pair of side body structures bonded respectively to the pair of side beams. The side body structure comprises an entrance column which constitutes a side entrance edge in the direction of rails and contacts with the side beam. The side beam comprises a body part which is composed of an outer plate in the outer side of a vehicle body, an inner plate arranged oppositely to the outer plate and webs which connect the outer and inner plates mutually and is formed to be made from the same materials and to have the same cross-sectional shape through the total length in the direction of rails and a reinforcement member with which a lower end part of the entrance column contacts. In the body part, a removal part in which a part of the body part is removed is formed and the reinforcement member is bonded to the removal part and is more rigid than the part which is removed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】客室空間を狭めることなく外観を損なわずに、入口柱の端部が当接する側梁を補強できる鉄道車両を提供すること。【解決手段】枕木方向の両側に設けられる一対の側梁を有する台枠と、一対の側梁にそれぞれ接合される一対の側構体とを備え、側構体は、側出入口のレール方向の縁を構成して側梁に当接する入口柱を備え、側梁は、車体外側の外面板と、外面板に対向配置される内面板と、外面板および内面板を互いに連結するウェブとでレール方向の全長に亘って材質および断面形状が同一に形成される本体部と、入口柱の下端部が当接する補強部材と、を備え、本体部には、本体部の一部分が取り除かれた除去部が形成され、補強部材は、除去部に接合されると共に、取り除かれた一部分よりも高剛性である。【選択図】図４
