To provide a detection device which offers improved vehicle behavior detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A detection device provided herein is configured to detect vehicle behavior in a preset detection area using a laser radar configured to generate point cloud information by irradiating the detection area with laser light and receiving reflections of the laser light, and comprises an acquisition unit for acquiring the point cloud information, a vehicle detection unit configured to detect a vehicle using the point cloud information, and a behavior detection unit configured to detect target behaviors, detection target behaviors of the vehicle, when the vehicle detected by the vehicle detection unit moves from a first area to a second area.
