Zusammenfassung:To provide a surface coated member with small variation of thickness of a coating material and excellent adhesion to the coating material and an iron base material, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A surface coated member 1 has an iron base material 2, a coating material 4 coating a surface of the iron base material 2, and a mixing layer 3 interposed between the iron base material 2 and the coating material 4. The coating material 4 includes a metal atom whose oxidation number is +3 (except for an iron atom), and an oxygen atom. The mixing layer 3 includes an iron atom, a metal atom and an oxygen atom, and a ratio of the metal atom to a total of the iron atom and the metal atom is 25 atom% or more. Thickness of the mixing layer 3 is 2 nm or more and less than 10 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】被覆材の厚みのバラつきが小さく、被覆材と鉄基材との密着性に優れた表面被覆部材及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】表面被覆部材1は、鉄基材2と、鉄基材2の表面を覆う被覆材4と、鉄基材2と被覆材4との間に介在する混合層3と、を有している。被覆材4は、酸化数が+3である金属原子(但し、鉄原子を除く)と酸素原子とを含んでいる。混合層3は、鉄原子と、金属原子と、酸素原子と、を含んでおり、鉄原子と金属原子との合計に対する金属原子の比率が25原子%以上である。混合層3の厚みは2nm以上10nm未満である。【選択図】図1
