Zusammenfassung:To provide a low-temperature liquid storage tank having a pile foundation structure to enable suitable storage of ultra-low-temperature liquid such as liquefied hydrogen even if the amount is huge on the order of tens of thousands kL.SOLUTION: The low-temperature liquid storage tank includes an inner tank 2 for storing low-temperature liquid L, an outer tank 3 arranged encircling and wrapping the inner tank, and a vacuum insulation layer 4 provided between the inner tank and the outer tank. The outer tank includes a concrete part 6, and a steel-sheet outer tank liner part 7 as an air-impermeable material provided on the surface of the concrete part, the outer tank liner part being disposed on the concrete part at its outer face side opposite to the vacuum insulation layer, the outer tank being constructed via a pile foundation. In sites of the outer tank liner part where piles 11 are inserted, through-holes are formed. On sites of the piles to be joined to the outer tank, pile liner parts 12 are provided for covering the upper end faces and the lateral faces of the piles while blocking the through-holes.
