To provide a fixing device that can prevent depletion of lubricant between a fixing belt and a heater without performing addition of a component and processing on the fixing belt.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a rotatable endless fixing belt; and a heater 23 that is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt with a lubricant therebetween. The heater 23 includes a contact surface 41a in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt. The contact surface 41a is formed with a plurality of grooves 43 parallel to the direction of rotation R of the fixing belt.
