Zusammenfassung:To desulfurize molten iron in a mechanical stirring method using a desulfurizing agent containing CaO as a main component, an alumina source having no or extremely little fluorine is used instead of aluminum dross for lowering the melting point of CaO, and the desulfurizing treatment is carried out without using a fluorine raw material.SOLUTION: In the method for desulfurizing molten iron according to the present invention, molten iron 3 is desulfurized by a mechanical stirring method. In the desulfurizing treatment, quick lime and a raw material containing alumina having 0.05-9 mass% of metallic Al are added to molten iron, and the molten iron is desulfurized without using a fluorine raw material. As the raw material containing alumina, it is preferable to use one or more kinds of a band shale, slag floating on molten steel in a tundish for continuous casting, and a waste flame resistant to AlOgenerated in an iron mill.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 CaOを主成分とする脱硫剤を用いて機械攪拌式脱硫方法で溶銑を脱硫処理するにあたり、CaOの融点降下を担うアルミドロスの代わりに、フッ素を含有しない、または、フッ素の含有量が極めて少ないアルミナ源を用い、且つ、フッ素原料を使用せずに溶銑の脱硫処理を実施する。【解決手段】 本発明に係る溶銑の脱硫処理方法は、機械攪拌式脱硫方法で溶銑3を脱硫処理する溶銑の脱硫処理方法において、金属Alを0.05〜9質量%含有するアルミナ含有原料と生石灰とを、溶銑に添加し、フッ素原料を使用しないで溶銑を脱硫処理する。前記アルミナ含有原料として、バンド頁岩、連続鋳造用タンディッシュ内の溶鋼上に浮遊していたスラグ、製鉄所で発生するAl2O3含有廃耐火物のうちの1種または2種以上を使用することが好ましい。【選択図】 図1
