To provide a heating cooker capable of letting a user properly recognize an arrangement place of a transmission part and a reception part for body detection signal if sticking matter such as the boiling-over sticks on a top face of the arrangement place of the transmission part and reception part for body detection signal.SOLUTION: A body detector 10 of a heating cooker 1 is configured to detect, when detecting a body having reflected a body detection signal transmitted from a transmission part 10a, whether the body is in contact with a top face 2a of the heating cooker 1.
