Zusammenfassung:To provide an optical waveguide element that enables connection by wire bonding and the like, reduces an amount of gold use, and prevents deterioration in conductor loss.SOLUTION: An optical waveguide element includes: a substrate 1 having an electro-optic effect; an optical guide 2 formed on the substrate; and control electrodes (30 and 31) provided on the substrate for controlling a light wave propagating through the optical guide.
