WASTE INCINERATOR AND WASTE INCINERATION METHOD

To provide a waste incinerator and a waste incineration method capable of properly keeping a stable combustion state by promptly controlling combustion according to a change even when a property of the waste changes.SOLUTION: Combustion control means includes a target incineration amount calculation portion 26 for calculating a heat generation amount reference value in combustion of waste charged this time, and calculating a target incineration amount of the waste on the basis of the heat generation amount reference value and a predetermined target evaporation amount in a boiler, a controlled variable reference value calculation portion 27 for calculating a controlled variable reference value on the basis of the target incineration amount, a manipulated variable calculation portion 29 for calculating a manipulated variable of an operation end, and a quality change detection portion 23 for calculating the amount of change of a moisture content of the waste charged in this time from a moisture content of waste charged in the last time, and detecting the change of the quality of the waste when the amount of change is over a prescribed threshold value.
