To provide a glass composition for metallic vacuum double container sealing that has no crystal deposition during burning such as degasification and vacuum sealing, and can perform vacuum sealing of a metallic vacuum double container at low temperature with good efficiency and good yield, and is excellent in metal bonding and adhesion, and a metallic vacuum double container sealed with the glass composition.SOLUTION: A glass composition for metallic vacuum double container sealing substantially contains no PbO, and contains, in mass%, BiO: 70-77%, BO: 2-17%, SiO: 0.1-9%, ZnO: 5-20%, NaO: 0.1-2.5%, and at least one of MgO, CaO, SrO, BaO of 0.1-5% in total.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】脱ガス及び真空封着等の焼成時において結晶析出がなく、金属製真空二重容器の真空封着を低温で、良好に且つ歩留まりよく行うことができ、金属に対する接着性、密着性に優れた金属製真空二重容器封着用ガラス組成物及び該ガラス組成物で封着した金属製真空二重容器の提供を課題とする。【解決手段】実質的にＰｂＯを含まず、質量％表示で、Ｂｉ２Ｏ３：７０〜７７％、Ｂ２Ｏ３：２〜１７％、ＳｉＯ２：０．１〜９％、ＺｎＯ：５〜２０％、Ｎａ２Ｏ：０．１〜２．５％、ＭｇＯ、ＣａＯ、ＳｒＯ、ＢａＯの内の少なくとも１種以上を合計で０．１〜５％、を含有する金属製真空二重容器封着用ガラス組成物である。【選択図】 なし
