POSITION DETECTING SYSTEM AND POSITION DETECTION METHOD

To provide a position detecting system and a position detection method which can appropriately detect a position of an object under an environment in which an acoustic wave and a supersonic wave echo.SOLUTION: The system includes a position sensing device for detecting a position of an object in a fluid which floats in the fluid stored by tank, and the position sensing device includes: a laser measuring device for acquiring point group data in which a measurement result of a distance to an inner peripheral surface is shown by irradiating the inner peripheral surface of the tank with a laser beam and receiving the irradiated laser beam while rotating around a center of a revolving shaft in a direction which intersects a liquid level of the fluid; and a position detector for determining a specific position of the field surrounded with acquired point group data as the starting point of a position sensing device, and detecting the position of the object on the basis of the determined starting point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】音波や超音波が反響する環境下においても対象物体の位置を適切に検出することができる位置検出システムおよび位置検出方法を提供すること。【解決手段】タンクに貯留された液体に浮遊し、液体中の対象物体の位置を検出する位置検出装置を備え、位置検出装置は、液体の液面に交差する方向の回転軸を中心として回転しながらタンクの内周面にレーザ光を照射し、照射されたレーザ光を受光することで内周面までの距離の測定結果を示す点群データを取得するレーザ測定装置と、取得された点群データで囲まれる領域のうちの特定の位置を位置検出装置の原点として決定し、決定された原点を基準とした対象物体の位置を検出する位置検出部と、を有する。【選択図】図１
