To provide an aqueous coating material which exhibits excellent adhesion to various substrates and coating films.SOLUTION: The aqueous coating material of the present invention is a two-pack type aqueous coating material comprising a main agent and a curing agent. The main agent contains an aqueous epoxy resin (A). The curing agent contains an amino group-containing resin (B) and an amino group-containing silane compound (M). The main agent contains a water-soluble epoxy resin and/or an epoxy resin aqueous dispersion as the aqueous epoxy resin (A). The mixing ratio of the respective components satisfies the following (I) and (II): (I) X/Y>1; and (II) Y/Y>0.8.
