To provide a polarization photochromic optical article that has both a polarization function and a photochromic function, has an effective antiglare property, and furthermore has a high adhesion.SOLUTION: A polarization photochromic optical article includes: a lens substrate having a polarization function; a primer layer; and a photochromic layer having a photochromic compound, in this sequence.
