To provide an igniter capable of suppressing malfunction of an ignition confirming portion even when a junction part of a bonding wire and a pad, or the pad itself is deteriorated.SOLUTION: An igniter 1 includes: a switch element 11 having pads 601, 602 and a back electrode 603; a lead 404 on which the switch element 11 is mounted in a state of being brought into contact with the back electrode 603, and which is connected to a primary coil of an ignition coil; a grounded lead 402; a lead 406 separated from the lead 404 and the lead 402; a bonding wire 509 connecting the pad 601 to the lead 406; a bonding wire 508 connecting the lead 406 to the lead 402; and a control circuit 13 driving the switch element 11 on the basis of an ignition instruction signal input from an engine control device, and generating an ignition confirmation signal to be output to the engine control device on the basis of voltage of the lead 406.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】ボンディングワイヤとパッドとの接合部分、または、パッド自体が劣化した場合でも、点火確認部の誤動作を抑制できるイグナイタを提供すること。【解決手段】イグナイタ１において、パッド６０１，６０２および裏面電極６０３を有するスイッチ素子１１と、スイッチ素子１１が裏面電極６０３を接して実装され、かつ、イグニッションコイルの一次コイルと接続されるリード４０４と、接地されるリード４０２と、リード４０４およびリード４０２から隔離されたリード４０６と、パッド６０１とリード４０６とを接続するボンディングワイヤ５０９と、リード４０６とリード４０２とを接続するボンディングワイヤ５０８と、エンジン制御装置から入力される点火指示信号に基づいてスイッチ素子１１を駆動させ、リード４０６の電圧に基づいてエンジン制御装置に出力する点火確認信号を生成する制御回路１３とを備えた。【選択図】図６
