Zusammenfassung:To provide a method for effectively manufacturing active charcoal large in specific surface area having developed micro pore and meso pore.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of active charcoal including a process for preparing a chip shaped ash-containing biomass raw material, a raw material cleaning process for conducting ash content removing cleaning on the chip shaped biomass raw material, a carbonization process for a carbonization treatment of a cleaned raw material to obtain carbide, and an activation process for conduction an activation treatment on the cleaned carbide to obtain active charcoal. Preferably activation time is set so that specific surface area of the active charcoal is at 1700 m/g or more, more preferably the activation time is set so that specific surface area of the active charcoal is at 2000 m/g or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】ミクロ孔及びメソ孔が発達した比表面積の大きな活性炭を効率良く製造できる方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係る活性炭の製造方法は、チップ状の灰分含有バイオマス原料を用意する工程と、チップ状バイオマス原料に対して灰分除去洗浄を行う原料洗浄工程と、洗浄済原料を炭化処理して炭化物を得る炭化工程と、炭化物に対して灰分除去洗浄を行う炭化物洗浄工程と、洗浄済炭化物を賦活処理して活性炭を得る賦活工程とを含む。好ましくは、活性炭の比表面積が1700m2/g以上となるように、賦活時間が設定され、より好ましくは、活性炭の比表面積が2000m2/g以下となるように、賦活時間が設定される。【選択図】図6
