To detect a load placed on a lumbar spine with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A load detection device is provided for detecting a load placed on a lumbar spine. The load detection device comprises: a detection unit detecting posture of a user; and an estimation unit estimating a load permitted to a hand of the user, based on the posture detected by the detection unit and the relationship between the load placed on the hand of the user and the posture of the user. In the load detection device, the estimation unit may compare a value of the load being input from the outside with the value of the estimated load.
