TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, TRANSMISSION SLOT DEVICE, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING TRANSMISSION SLOT

To provide a transmission system capable of avoiding that a residual capacity of a last effective slot in a transmission main signal becomes less than four bytes.SOLUTION: A transmission system comprises a TLV multiplexer and a transmission slot device. The transmission slot device comprises a capacity calculation unit, an extraction unit, a residual capacity calculation unit, a selection unit, and a slot information multiplexing unit. The capacity calculation unit receives setting information, and calculates data capacity that can be included in a transmission main signal of one frame on the basis of the setting information. The extraction unit extracts the number of bytes from the TLV packet. The residual capacity calculation unit calculates residual capacity of the transmission main signal on the basis of the data capacity and the number of bytes. The selection unit, in a case where the residual capacity would become less than four bytes if the TLV packet were stored in a slot, stores a null packet to a terminal end of the slot instead of the TLV packet.
