Zusammenfassung:To provide a center pillar for a vehicle in which sectional collapse of a closed cross section, on which a seat belt retractor or the like is located, can be suppressed to a request for higher roof crush performance.SOLUTION: A center pillar for a vehicle comprises: a long outer panel having a hat-shaped cross section; and a long inner panel which is located on a vehicle width direction inner side of the outer panel, and in which a second flange part, which is bent outward from both side edge parts, is joined to a first flange part, which is bent toward a vehicle longitudinal direction outer side from both side edge parts of the outer panel by weldment, thereby forming a closed cross section. The inner panel is so configured as to have: an opening for fitting which is formed at a vehicle vertical direction lower end part, and disposes a prescribed component in the closed cross section; a pair of vertically bead parts which are formed on both side edge parts from an upper end part to a peripheral edge part of the opening for fitting in the vehicle vertical direction; and a connection bead part for reinforcement which is located at a position near a vehicle vertical direction upper side of the opening for fitting, and connects the pair of vertically long bead parts along the vehicle longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ルーフクラッシュの更に高い性能の要求に対して、シートベルトリトラクタ等が配置される閉断面の断面崩れを抑制することができる車両用センタピラーを提供する。【解決手段】断面ハット形状で長尺状のアウタパネルと、アウタパネルの車幅方向内側に配置されて、両側縁部から外側に向かって屈曲された第2フランジ部がアウタパネルの両側縁部から車両前後方向外側に向かって屈曲された第1フランジ部に溶接によって接合されて閉断面を形成する長尺状のインナパネルと、を備え、インナパネルは、車両上下方向下端部に形成されて閉断面内に所定部品を配置する取付用開口部と、車両上下方向において、上端部から前記取付用開口部の周縁部まで両側縁部に形成された一対の縦長ビード部と、取付用開口部の車両上下方向上側の近傍位置に配置されて、一対の縦長ビード部を車両前後方向に沿って連結する補強用連結ビード部と、を有するように構成する。【選択図】図1
