Zusammenfassung:To suppress collision of a rear vehicle with an obstacle existing ahead of a travel lane of an own vehicle while suppressing collision of the own vehicle with the obstacle.SOLUTION: A driving support device (10) mounted in an own vehicle includes: an obstacle detection section (11) which detects an obstacle existing ahead of a travel lane on which the own vehicle travels; a rear vehicle detection section (12) which detects a rear vehicle traveling behind the own vehicle; an operation control section (13) which determines one operation of a lane change and steering and braking in the travel lane as an avoiding operation, and makes the own vehicle execute the avoiding operation and avoid the obstacle; and a collision estimation section (14) which estimates the presence or absence of a collision of the rear vehicle with the obstacle when the own vehicle is made to avoid the obstacle by one of avoiding operations of the lane change and steering.
