To prevent device setup with incomplete information.SOLUTION: A server device 10 sets a valid time when an inquiry from an image forming device 30B is valid. When the time of the inquiry from the image forming device 30B is within a time zone for transmitting setting information, the server device 10 notifies a re-inquiry timing to the image forming device 30B. When the server device 10 obtains a setting update notification of the image forming device 30B from a management device 20, the server device updates the valid time to a time later than the set time. The server device 10 notifies the timing of the next inquiry to the image forming device 30B when the re-inquiry is performed from the image forming device 30 after the valid time, and acquires the setting information of the image forming device 30B from the management device 20.
