Zusammenfassung:To provide a display device capable of displaying an image less likely having various display interferences (halo interference, edge interference, or the like) when the luminance of external light is high.SOLUTION: The display device of the present invention has: light-emitting means; first transmitting means for transmitting the light emitted by the light-emitting means based on a processed image data prepared by suppressing a spatial high-frequency component of a target image data; second transmitting means for transmitting the light emitted by the light-emitting means and transmitted by the first transmitting means, based on the target image data so as to display an image on a display screen; detecting means for detecting the luminance of external light; and generating means for generating the processed image data in such a way that, when the luminance of external light is high, the spatial high-frequency component of the target image data is suppressed at a higher suppression degree than a suppression degree when the luminance of external light is low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】外光の輝度が高い場合に種々の表示妨害(ハロー妨害、エッジ妨害、等)が少ない画像を表示できる表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の表示装置は、発光手段と、前記発光手段から発せられた光を、対象画像データの空間的な高周波成分を抑圧した処理画像データに基づいて透過する第1の透過手段と、前記発光手段から発せられて前記第1の透過手段を透過した光を前記対象画像データに基づいて透過することにより、表示面に画像を表示する第2の透過手段と、外光の輝度を検出する検出手段と、前記外光の輝度が高い場合に前記外光の輝度が低い場合よりも高い抑圧度合いで前記対象画像データの空間的な高周波成分を抑圧することにより、前記処理画像データを生成する生成手段と、を有する。【選択図】図1
