To provide an object monitoring device with which it is possible to appropriately detect an object even when a dead corner due to a sensor may occur.SOLUTION: A monitoring device 10 comprises a sensor 14 for measuring a prescribed space region 12, and a determination unit 18 for determining, on the basis of the measured data of the sensor 14, whether there is an object in a monitoring region 16 that is predefined within the space region 12.
