Zusammenfassung: | To suppress generation of dielectric breakdown caused by static electricity inflow to an element substrate of a liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head includes: a plurality of element substrates having a first element substrate and a second element substrate each of which has a heating element array in which a plurality of heating elements for generating thermal energy for liquid discharge by energization are arrayed, a conductive protective layer which covers the plurality of heating elements, an insulation layer which is arranged between the plurality of heating elements and the conductive protective layer, and an external connection terminal for connecting with an external; and an electric wiring substrate which is electrically connected to the first element substrate and the second element substrate respectively through the external connection terminal. In each of the first element substrate and the second element substrate, the external connection terminal includes a connection terminal for the conductive protective layer. The conductive protective layer is electrically connected to common wiring arranged on the electrical wiring substrate through the connection terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
