VEHICULAR SEAT BACK

To improve a function of maintaining upper body posture of a seated occupant by allowing an upper part of a pelvis at a back side, of parts contacting a seat back of the seated occupant, to be supported by tension of a covering material and improve sitting comfort by making the other parts to follow a body shape of the seated occupant.SOLUTION: A vehicular seat back 12 of the invention comprises a cushion material 40 arranged at a backrest part and a covering material 41 covering an outer surface of the cushion material 40. When areas which an upper part T1 of a pelvis at a back side of a seated occupant H seated on a vehicular seat 10 contacts are defined as pelvis-upper contacting areas 42 in the covering material 41, high-tension areas 50 in which tension is enhanced more than in other areas are provided in the pelvis-upper contacting areas 42 of the covering material 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】着座者のシートバックへの接触部分のうち、背面側骨盤上部を表皮材の張力により支持して、着座者の上体姿勢維持機能の向上を図り、他の部分は着座者の体型に追従させて、座り心地の向上をも図る。【解決手段】この発明の車両用シートバック１２は、背凭れ部に配置されたクッション材４０と、クッション材４０の外表面を被覆する表皮材４１とを備え、表皮材４１における、車両用シート１０に着座した着座者Ｈの背面側骨盤上部Ｔ１が当接する領域を骨盤上部当接領域４２とすると、表皮材４１のうち、骨盤上部当接領域４２には、他の領域と比べて張力が高められた高張力領域５０が設けられている。【選択図】図２
