Zusammenfassung: | To solve the problem that when an image formation apparatus which detects the remaining amount of toner on the basis of light transmitted through a light emission surface and a light reception surface has the respective surfaces cleaned with a wipe member, precision of remaining amount detection becomes worse if the wipe member stops while pressed against the light emission surface and light reception surface for a long time.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: an image formation unit 6 which has a developer storage part 30; an optical path lens 33 which guides light of a light emitting element 41 to a light emission-side transmission window 33c, and guides light that a light reception-side transmission window 33d receives to a light receiving element 42, the respective transmission windows being arranged across a gap in the developer storage part 30; a cleaning member 32 which comprises a wipe member 32b rotating together with a wipe shaft 32a and passing through the gap while sliding relative to the respective transmission windows; a control part 50; and a drive source 60 which drives the cleaning member 32 to rotate. The control part 50 stops the driving by the drive source 60 on the basis of a passing timing when the wipe member 32b passes through the gap on the basis of light reception information on the light receiving element 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】出光面と受光面を透過する光に基づいてトナー残量を検出する画像形成装置では、各面をワイプ部材で清掃する場合、ワイプ部材が出光面や受光面に圧接したまま長時間停止すると、残量検知精度が低下してしまう問題があった。【解決手段】現像剤収容部30を有する画像形成ユニット6と、発光素子41の光を発光側透過窓33cに導き、受光側透過窓33dで受けた光を受光素子42へと導き、現像剤収容部30内で各透過窓が間隙を介して配置された光路レンズ33と、ワイプ軸32aと共に回転し、各透過窓に対して摺動しながら間隙を通過するワイプ部材32bを備えた清掃部材32と、制御部50と、清掃部材32の回転を駆動する駆動源60と、制御部50は、受光素子42の受光情報に基づいてワイプ部材32bが間隙を通過する通過タイミングに基づいて駆動源60による駆動を停止する。【選択図】図5 |
